‘Together’ at The Custom House

In this beautiful, historic building with unbroken views down the river Exe, diners will experience the coming together of contemporary Indian food culture and the best of the local Devon produce.

Exeter has a large cohort of young Indian students who are passionate about food and many of the dishes at the pop-up have been developed among friends. This event is about taking time to experience and celebrate how foods from different continents can work so well together.

Popping up every Friday and Saturday night during October 2025, these events will offer a unique fine-dining experience in a beautiful historic building with superb views. With white tablecloths, great service and fine wines these Indian dining events are really not to be missed.

TICKETS include a 5 course meal. All drinks are sold on the night. A sample list of drinks and prices can be seen on the page.

Sample menu:

Home-made pani puri with organic October vegetable ceviche, kefir raita & sweet coriander liquor

Runner bean & white wine poriyal, pickled gongura & idli

Keralan style marinated hake steamed in a banana leaf with wilted fenugreek and fresh tomato sauce

Smoked lamb rump tikka with dry cashew curry sauce, mint chutney and malabar parotta

Chilled rice kheer with saffron & cardamom, roasted plum, toasted almonds & amaretto

Vegan options will be created with love where necessary! 

Wines supplied by the fabulous ‘Pullo wine store’ on Fore St, Exeter. Our selection caters to all tastes with a mix of classic styles and more contemporary natural wines (if you’ve never had a natural wine, you can taste one here!). These are great wines that we are making available to our customers at really good prices, as we believe in inclusivity rather than exclusivity when it comes to quality.
