With Tife Kusoro for the Royal Court Young Playwrights Award

Quay Words are pleased to offer this free workshop in collaboration with the Royal Court and led by their Writer in Residence, Tife Kusoro. The session will help you get started coming up with ideas and writing scenes for your play.
The Royal Court Young Playwrights Award is a free, open-access competition for anyone aged 13-18 in the UK interested in writing a play. Winners will have their plays performed at the Royal Court Theatre in London and published by Nick Hern Books.
About the Writer
Tife’s debut play, G, premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in August 2024, and won the George Devine Award for most promising new playwright. Her work has also received the Playwrights ’73 Award and the Lynne Gagliano Writers’ Award, and been shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Poetry, the Women’s Prize for Playwriting, the Verity Bargate Award, and the Alfred Fagon Award.
