Exeter Comedy Festival

Paid Event — Arts
Exeter Comedy Festival

The Exeter Custom House is delighted to be a venue again for this year’s Exeter Comedy Festival.

The Festival brings some of the country’s most exciting comedians to intimate venues right across the city, including right here on Exeter’s historic quayside.

Friday 5 June

Custom House 1 (upstairs)

6pm – 7pm
Will Adamsdale

Perrier and Fringe First winner Will Adamsdale presents a new
show about bots, block and getting away from it all

7.30pm – 8.30pm
Dan Tiernan

With a hat trick of sold-out Edinburgh shows under his belt, Dan is a double-Edinburgh award nominee who has received countless five-star reviews.

Custom House 2 (downstairs)

6.30pm – 7.30pm
Amy Annette

Say What You Like About Me (Work In Progress). This show is about being hot (or not). ‘A Genius’ (Broadwayworld.com). Tour support for Aisling Bea. Top 50 best reviewed shows 2025 (Comedy.co.uk)

8pm – 9pm
Walter Jack

Remembering Shoe-Based Comedy (Work In Progress), Who now remembers that all comedy was once about shoes? Walter does. He’ll take you on an enthralling journey back to the post-war years when ‘all we laughed about were shoes!’.

Saturday 6 June

Custom House 1 (upstairs)

4pm – 5pm
Josie Long

Josie returns with a WIP. Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee and Gold ARIA winner Josie Long is a comedian, writer, podcaster, and filmmaker who is a trailblazer in the UK comedy industry

6pm – 7pm
Rob Auton

Jupiter (Work in Progress). A story about Rob being an estate agent on the planet Jupiter. One day a couple come into the estate agents and ask Rob what Earth is like to live on.

7.30pm – 8.30pm
Darryl Carrington

Award-winning physical comedian Carrington presents Tennish, which quickly goes off-court turning rackets, balls and towels
into instruments, obstacles and punchlines. It’s playful, chaotic,
visual and all about ambition, performance and failure.

Custom House 2 (downstairs)

6.30pm – 7.30pm
Ollie Young and Alfred Taylor

Two young comedians from the We’re 25, we’re from the southwest, but their comedy couldn’t be more different. Ollie’s quick, he’s witty, cheeky even. Alfred? He’s got surreal stories aplenty that spiral into something truly bizarre.

8pm – 9pm
Charlie Bowers

Smooth Mobile Network Operator (Work In Progress). Charlie Bowers is an award-winning comedian who is determined to find humour where everyone else hasn’t bothered to look, bringing rambling asides to the stage that most people would keep to themselves.
