Call Out: Dumpling Makers

Dumpling Makers, our Cultural partners at Art Work Exeter need your help for Exeter Dumpling Day 2024

Dumpling makers we need you!

Do you make dumplings for your family and friends?

Do you know a dumpling recipe that tells a special cultural or personal story?

Would you like to teach other people how to make that dumpling?

Wherever you are from, you probably grew up eating dumplings. Art Work Exeter are looking for 8 Dumpling Makers from different parts of the world to share their dumpling making secrets. Teach other people your recipe and help us make enough dumplings for a day long celebration at Exeter Custom House on Sunday 23rd June 2024.

You will need to be available to teach your recipe at St Sidwell’s Centre on one of the following dates: 14th, 18th, 22nd, 25th May. We will pay your expenses and help you to run the workshop.

We will ask you to share your dumpling story and recipe in a specially produced booklet that will be handed out at the Dumpling Day celebration at Exeter Custom House on 23rd June.

You and your dumpling making will be featured in a video displayed at the Custom House 15-23 June.
