Our Cultural partners from Art Work Exeter present the launch of their Exchange Exhibition, celebrating the 50 artists and writers who have contributed.
The Exchange is a playful exploration of the value of artistic labour, collaboration and object production through the combination of image and word.
Over the past few weeks various Exchange events have been taking place and now is your chance to view the objects and ephemera left by previous exchanges from the series,. As well as the exhibition, the team will also be opening a sealed bid auction for six contemporary artworks that have been curated, relating to the project theme and setting. Potential owners can trade with hard cash or offer a non-monetary equivalent…
In fact, most of the articles and artefacts, artworks and writings are available for swap, barter or trade under the terms of… The Exchange.
There are also interactive aspects, where you can ‘pay for’ your experience through drawing tasks and respond to others’ work with writing.
Paid bar run by the Custom House team with a selection of wines, beer and cider.
The exhibition runs until 14th April, but you’ll need to come to the opening night to enjoy the bar!
