Christmas at the Custom House: Christmas Card Lino Printing
Come and join Helen McCormick for a fun evening learning the basics of Lino printing, making your very own beautiful Christmas cards.
Helen is a Devon based artist and qualified art and design teacher. She is passionate about teaching different artistic processes and has created this workshop to share her skills, knowledge and experience with anyone who would like to learn the basics of Lino printing.
The workshop is designed to be a relaxed, friendly space where you can meet new people and have the opportunity to create, learn and have fun. Throughout the evening Helen will teach you how to create a design, and then transfer this to your Lino block ready to carve.
You will have practise opportunities to develop your cutting technique and familiarise yourself with the various cutting tools, before embarking on your final design. By the end of the workshop you will have a set of four cards, along with test prints and your carved Lino block to take home.
All materials and equipment will be provided. The only thing you need to bring is an apron and wear old clothes if possible.
Ticket Prices: £30
