Feature Film: Jo in the Water
Sea swimming is Jo Bateman’s sanctuary—until sewage spills begin to threaten the waters she loves. What follows is a powerful David-and-Goliath story, as Jo transforms from passionate swimmer into determined activist, taking on one of the UK’s largest water companies.
As her courage sparks a growing movement, this emotional and compelling documentary shines a light on the urgent crisis facing our waterways, asking: who will stand up for our right to swim in clean natural waters—and protect the ecosystems and communities that depend on them?
More than a film about pollution, Jo in the Water is a story of connection, place, and responsibility.
🎤 The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers, plus a live performance of “Earth’s Child”, as featured in the film.
